I’ve been using Outlook on a Mac for the last few years; currently at v16.61 on my Macbook Mini M1.

One of the most useful features is the ability to Snooze a particular email. Here’s a quick overview of How to Snooze a mail and some particular use cases I find super helpful.

Simply select the mail you want to Snooze and either click Snooze on the taskbar, as in the image below, or right-click on the mail and select Snooze from the menu.

Here are the default options you get when using the taskbar Snooze button

Default Snooze options

When you select one of the options, the mail will immediately disappear from your Inbox and return at the chosen time. I find this incredibly useful in a few ways that help out with my productivity.

Use Case 1: repeatable tasks from

First use case, when I send an instructional mail to my team that I want to follow up on every week/month/quarter etc.

There’s one such mail that I sent out on the first Monday of the year and I want to follow up every Monday. I simply cc’d myself on the first instance, then selected that mail I received and clicked Snooze. From the dropdown menu I chose ‘Next Week Mon 08:00 am’.
